Рассмотрена структура концепта «иностранец» в английском языке. Выявлены компоненты значения лексических единиц синонимического ряда «иностранец». Изучены способы репрезентации данного концепта и современная внеязыковая действительность, обуславливающая изменение значений лексических единиц, которые представляют концепт «иностранец» в английском языке.

The article examines the structure of the concept «foreigner» in the English language. It also finds outthe seme components of the lexical meaning of the given synonymic row. The author reveals the linguistic means to represent the concept «foreigner» in the language. As the lexical meaning undergoes changes, the interrelation of the concept «foreigner» and the extralinguistic situation is considered in the article.
