This article analyzes the heroic feats of the Leningrad firefighters during one of the tragic episodes of the Siege, the fire at the Badayev food warehouses on September 8, 1941. The article examines the historical context of the Siege, the general principles of fire safety during wartime, and the specific conditions faced by the Leningrad firefighters. In the practical section, a link is established to the future, allowing us to explore the impact of the heroic past on contemporary fire safety issues. The article analyzes the impact of this fire on the city's food supply and the role of firefighters in minimizing losses. The publication aims to highlight the invaluable contribution of these people to the preservation of the city and its inhabitants.
