The article proposes a variant of improving the tactics of using PS-1 foam mixers with local supply of low and medium expansion foam when extinguishing fires. The advantages of the proposed option of tactical methods of foam supply using PS-1 foam mixers are indicated, options for equipping fire trucks with PS-1 foam mixers are considered, as well as the order of the most convenient storage of the foam concentrate. The study used the method of analyzing data on the local use of low and medium expansion foam when extinguishing fires according to additional and increased numbers (ranks) of a fire that occurred on the territory of the fire and rescue garrison of St. Petersburg in the period from 2015 to 2021. The results of this work will allow employees of the Federal Fire Service of the State Fire Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, as well as employees of other types of fire protection, to increase the tactical capabilities of the main fire trucks, increase the efficiency of introducing fire extinguishing agents when extinguishing a fire and make it more ergonomic and convenient.
