Abstract (English):
The organization of firefighting in St. Petersburg after Peter The Great`s death is considered. The regulations accepted in firefighting during the period of reign of Catherine I, Peter ІІ, John, and also the Empress Elizabeth Petrovna and Peter III are studied. The special attention is paid to the actions taken by the Anna Ioannovna`s Government on fire-fighting in the new Russian capital.
