The article is devoted to the problem of pedagogy of higher education – the development of communicative competence of students of higher education institutions in the process of training, which is one of the important tasks of training highly qualified specialists in the modern conditions. The paper presents a theoretical basis for communicative competence as a key condition to the success of professional activity (her managerial and pedagogical sides) of the officers. The article describes the methodological foundations for the development of communicative competence of future officers.
