MULTY-CRITERIA ZONING OF TERRITORIES USING GIS-TECHNOLOGIES ACCORDING TO THE DEGREE OF FOREST FIRE HAZARD

Abstract (English):
Forest fire hazard areas were identified and mapped by integrating GIS-grid-based technologies by carrying out the multi-criteria analysis that was provided by the information about areas most likely to be affected by fire. A spatially weighted index model was implemented to develop the fire hazard assessment model used in this study. Fire-causing factors such as land usage, road network, data of slope height and disposition of forests according to the cardinal points were taken into consideration in this investigation.
