The article describes the experience of teaching the basics of first aid in emergency situations in the Saint-Petersburg university of State fire service of EMERCOM of Russia. Computer support is an important factor not only in the study of theoretical foundations and practical skills. Computer simulation of accidents with imitation of life-threatening conditions provides an opportunity to practice solving typical tasks with minimal time assessment and selection of measures of assistance.
