It is considered the problem of ensuring fire safety in the forests of Sverdlovsk region. The authors offer some factors having considerable impact on fire safety of the forests. It is represented the development of regression mathematical model of the foreseeable damage from the fires in the territory of forest areas of Sverdlovsk region. The main reasons for low indicators of the received model quality are designated. The main directions in definition of the factors having the greatest impact on fire safety of woods are planned in the article.
