Present paper analyses the changes in the technical (technological) structure of the vehicle fleet in Saint-Petersburg in 2004-2015 caused by the introduction of the legislative policies regarding motor transport emission standards. Positive effect of harmonization of the legislation of the Russian Federation and the Eurasian economic community with the Directives and Regulations of the European council within the European economic committee of the United Nations.
