Abstract (English):
The article is devoted to one of important, intensively developing components of a comprehensive life safety of the population, which is ensuring environmental security. The article-based Report on the environmental situation in Saint-Petersburg in 2016, prepared and presented by the Committee for nature use, environmental protection and ecological safety of Saint-Petersburg shows the individual areas of environmental safety and reveals the essence of environmental security as a specific component of the comprehensive security of the population. The issues of formation of ecological culture in General and in Saint-Petersburg university of State fire service of EMERCOM of Russia in particular.
