Basic provisions of the theory of reliability are considered, the analysis of use of the theory of reliability in fire business is carried out. Examples an assessment of methods of the analysis of failure rate in the car power supply network are reviewed. Emergency operation in the car power supply networks leading to fire emergence is analysed.
