There are the basic methods of the fire safety maintenance, realized on the highway transport are applied various kinds of systems of fire-prevention on the opencast mine and career. There are also scrutinized the physicochemical properties of fire-extinguishing substances used in such protection systems in this article. On the basis of the conducted research work, the ways of modernization of fire protection systems for the most effective suppression of ignition on career transport are offered.
