The article systematically addresses the issues of efficiency regarding the implementation of management systems and the organization of labor protection in the fire brigade units. The authors carried out a theoretical justification and set out their vision regarding the effectiveness of occupational safety, presented some considerations on assessing the effectiveness of implementing management systems and organizing labor protection in fire departments. Given the author's interpretation of the effectiveness of the implementation of management systems and the organization of labor protection in the fire departments, describes the system of performance evaluation, the criterion and performance indicator.
