Researches in the field of convective heat transfer using suspensions of solid particles of nanometer size in the base fluid, based on distilled water. It is shown that the nanoparticles significantly alter the thermal characteristics of the liquid, which makes it useful for cooling and the application of technologies for fire- fighting purposes.
