The basic principles of mathematical modeling of information systems for monitoring complex technical systems with the purpose of ensuring their safe operation are considered. For solving problems of analysis and management of different types of risks of complex technical systems is proposed using a combination of mathematical models depending on the level of the hierarchy, the degree of decomposition of the system, and the goals and objectives of the study.
