The article examines the memory politics pursued by Norway and Russia after 2022. Preserving the memory of the tragic events of World War II (in particular, the liberation of Northern Norway by Soviet troops) is a strategic task for our country. However, the Norwegian government is currently promoting an «alternative» version of historical events, preventing joint commemorative events. The author comes to the conclusion, that today it is possible to preserve the memory of the World War II only through informal channels of influence, primarily through work with Russian-speaking communities in Norway.
