The results of the analysis of the professional psychological selection systems of some educational organizations in the form of emerging contradictions in the decision-making process are presented. The process of formalization of decision support in the system of professional psychological selection of applicants is considered. The methods of determining their professionally important qualities are proposed, the structure of expert assessment and processing of the obtained research results is described, which make it possible to determine the criteria for the importance of professionally important qualities of applicants depending on the areas of training and to rank candidates for training within the same group of professional psychological suitability.
