Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
The article analyzes the life and activities of the first grand duke of Kyev Oleg, as the initiator of the appearance of fire filling pipes (pumps) in Russia. His brief biography is given, merits are noted in the field of strengthening the military power of the ancient Russian state, and ensuring fire safety, in particular, the appearance of fire equipment (fire filling pipes) in Russia. His activities to improve the fire protection structure of ancient Russia are briefly shown.
