ANALYSIS OF NOISE POLLUTION ON THE CAMPUS OF THE FAR EASTERN FEDERAL UNIVERSITY IN VLADIVOSTOK
Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
The problems of noise pollution, its impact on health, as well as ways to combat it are considered. As a method of control and management, the method of compiling a noise map using data collection by field measurement with a noise meter was chosen. Noise maps were constructed and analyzed. In the experimental part, we used: a first-class sound meter SVAN-959, an acoustic calibrator for a sound meter, applications of geographic information systems (GIS applications) Google Earth Pro and QGIS to analyze the territory and compile noise maps. Measurement methods and programs that could be used in noise mapping are discussed. In the experimental part, the territory is analyzed and the noise level is measured on the campus of the Far eastern federal university, noise maps are compiled and the results are discussed. It was concluded that on the Far eastern federal university campus, the ventilation systems of academic buildings, exceeding the permissible standards by 10-20 dBA, as well as sources of transport and construction noise, create the highest noise levels. Noise mapping made it possible to determine the distribution of the acoustic load, identify the most problematic areas and confirm the need to apply measures to reduce noise exposure.
