The article examines the legal regulation of the conditions and procedures for the use of physical force by employees of the State Inspectorate for Small Vessels, as enshrined in Article 27 of the Federal Law of February 3, 2025 № 4-FZ «On Safety on Water Bodies». This norm was developed in pursuance of the provisions of Article 26 of the said law, which granted inspectors the right to use physical force and special means (clause 6, part 6, Article 26). The author emphasizes the particular relevance of the analysis of this norm, since it establishes a clear legal framework for the application of coercive measures, which is fundamentally important for maintaining the law and ensuring safety on water bodies.
