Abstract:
The relevance of the study is due to the high frequency of tragic fires in nightclubs that result in mass casualties, as well as the insufficient effectiveness of existing fire safety systems in facilities with special operating conditions. The purpose of the study is to comprehensively analyze the challenges of evacuating people from nightclubs during fires, identify the factors that hinder safe evacuation, and develop recommendations for their elimination. The article identifies and systematizes five groups of critical problem factors (the use of combustible materials in decoration, architectural obstacles and operational violations, behavioral aspects, the low efficiency of warning and evacuation control systems, and the inadequacy of existing mathematical models of evacuation to the real conditions of nightclub fires). Appropriate solutions are proposed for each group. The practical significance lies in the development of specific recommendations for improving the fire safety of entertainment venues. Further research prospects include the development and validation of mathematical evacuation models that take into account the effects of alcohol, panic, and group behavior, the conduct of field experiments, and the creation of specialized methods for assessing fire safety in club-type facilities.
