Abstract (English):
The article describes the distance education technologies in Saint-Petersburg university of State fire service of EMERCOM of Russia as a complex of educational services provided to the broad layers of population in the country and abroad with the use of the specialized informational and educational environment at any distance from educational institution. Flexibility, adaptability, modularity, economic effectiveness and new role of the lecturer demonstrated as the main properties of distance education.
