The article is considering problems of arrangement of propaedeutic knowledge control in fire-engineering higher educational institutions of EMERCOM of Russia. The main conceptual points of diphase personality oriented model of propaedeutic knowledge control are shown. The results of experiment in use of diphase personality oriented model of propaedeutic knowledge control for the enhancement of student’s cognitive activity are analyzed.
