The paper describes a methodology of the information process of the monitoring of transport related air pollution in big cities in terms of individual risks and external costs. The information system of the air quality control and short-term and long-term forecast of the chemical air pollution pollution by city transport (including motor transport, trams, trolley buses, trains, metro) was realized in St. Petersburg. It was shown that the most positive effect should be expected from to the renovation of the vehicles fleet by vehicles corresponding to Euro-4 - Euro-5 emission standards.
