Abstract (English):
Investigated the legal regulation of fire insurance in the period of the Russian Empire. Analyzed legal sources about fire insurance. Great attention is focused on study of the decrees of the Russian Emperor Nicholas the First on the organization and activities of joint stock insurance from fire companies and partnerships. The role of insurance against fire in pre-revolutionary Russia.
