Abstract (English):
Studied the history of the origin, formation and development of the mountain rescue service in pre-revolutionary Russia. Special attention is paid to research of Russian scientists and practitioners (D.I. Mendeleev, N.D. Kotsovskogo, N.S. Kurnakova, I.A. Thieme, A.A. Skochinskogo, A.M. Terpigorieva and others), whose works were devoted to the analysis of detonating gas explosions and measures for their prevention, promoting the ideas of the rescue service. The first rescue stations at the mines of Russia.
