Need of formation of professional competences when carrying out a practical training is shown. Possibilities of various carriers of educational information from the point of view of convenience of use, availability, requirements to audience, variability, adaptability to features of students, connections to external sources of information are analysed. The possible structure of the electronic manual executed with use of hypertext technologies is presented. Results of pedagogical observations on use of modern information and communication technologies on a practical training are considered.
