The paper examines the conditions and results of full-scale tests of an innovative gas and smoke protection safety complex, designed for rescuers to work in conditions of an environment unsuitable for breathing. The purpose of the work is to create a complex technical system designed to improve the efficiency of firefighters-rescuers when searching for victims and the source of a fire, orientation in conditions of low and «zero» visibility, as well as its testing in conditions close to real ones. Research methods: analysis, observation, comparison, measurement, experiment, description. Main provisions and results of the study: the technical result of the presented Complex lies in the possibility of increasing the efficiency of search operations at a fire and is achieved by the fact that a combined technical solution is proposed in the engineering emergency rescue multifunctional device. Conclusions with justification of the scientific novelty of the results: the results of the first pilot tests of the Complex are presented.
