FEAR OF DEATH IN RELATION TO PERSONAL ADAPTATION POTENTIAL OF STUDENTS OF THE SPECIALTY «PSYCHOLOGY OF SERVICE ACTIVITIES»
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
The article presents the results of a study devoted to the study of the relationship between the characteristics of the fear of death and personal adaptation potential in first-year students of the psychological specialty. It was revealed that the level of fear of death is not directly related to personal adaptive potential, however, such positions as «acceptance of death as an escape» and «fear of oblivion» can indirectly reduce the ability of the individual to adapt. This provides grounds for considering in further studies the acceptance of death as an escape and the fear of oblivion as markers of the depressed psychophysiological state of the individual.

Keywords:
fear of death, thanatic anxiety, acceptance of death as an escape, fear of oblivion, adaptation, personal adaptive potential
