The development of digitalization and the introduction of information technologies into human daily activities, including artificial intelligence, machine learning and chatbots, is changing the landscape of interaction with the outside world for people with disabilities, who face serious difficulties in accessing information on a daily basis, which significantly limits their educational, economic and social opportunities. Chatbots represent a promising alternative to classical communication, as they can provide personalized information and support in the process of obtaining information. The article discusses the possibilities of speech recognition technology. The results of the design and implementation of an autonomous speech recognition system for a chatbot are presented, the purpose of which is to increase the availability of digital services for users with disabilities. The main focus is on substantiating the architectural and functional solutions of a web application with voice input of user requests. The results of speech recognition testing by the module are presented. The developed application solution combines voice input, automatic speech recognition and the generation of responses to user requests, which provides a full cycle of voice interaction in a local web application without the need to access third-party cloud services.
