The review highlights the theses of the speeches of the round table held on April 7, 2023 in Murmansk as part of the business program of the interdepartmental experimental research exercise «Safe Arctic – 2023». More than 30 scientific and educational organizations, more than 50 participants were represented. The review highlights the legal issues of complex, industrial, food, environmental, radiation and national security in the Arctic, the interaction of international legal regulators and national legislation, the integrated security of the Northern sea route, the legal regulation of interdepartmental interaction in emergency situations, rescue and medical assistance to victims, the formation of a culture of life safety in the Arctic, the history of rescue operations in the Soviet Arctic, etc.
