The article describes the activities of the Parliamentary Assembly of the CSTO in the field of combating terrorism in the period from 2010 to 2022. The most important direction of the model lawmaking of the CSTO member states is the improvement of the international legal anti-terrorist framework, including in the information space, as well as in order to create a common list of terrorist organizations. Since its foundation in 2006, the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly has adopted 82 model legal acts, including on a wide range of counter-terrorism tasks. The recommendations adopted in the period from 2015 to 2020 on the harmonization of the legislation of the CSTO member states on countering terrorism and extremism are highlighted. The article describes the recommendations developed in the period 2021–2023 on the harmonization of legislation in the areas of countering the risks of uncontrolled proliferation of virtual assets, countering terrorism at the facilities of the fuel and energy complex, blocking the channels of international terrorism, and the model Guidelines of the competent authorities of the CSTO member states in the field of operational and investigative provision of collective security.
