The article notes that the intensification of Maritime activity in the Arctic requires more attention to fire safety on ships and coastal facilities. We provide statistical data on accidents of vessels of the world and the blighty fleet. It is noted that it is necessary to consider the peculiarities of the influence on stability submitted to the extinguishing water. The free surface of water in the holds and the outer icing can be present the danger. We present calculations of the stability for the emergency container vessels and ro-ro ships to extinguishing fires with water.
