There is the scientific-didactic approach to the organization of students’ self-education on an example of training of ecologists and lawyers in this article. The students’ development of study motivation. Independent students’ work is defined as an activity that stimulates their cognitive interests, which forms the basis of self-education. There are represented the didactical evaluation criterions of the effectiveness of the educational process and the organization of self-education. There are also determined the main directions of the national ecological and legal education improving in this article.
