The sequence of development and application of didactic materials in the educational process is presented, in particular at a lecture session at Saint-Petersburg university of State fire service of EMERCOM of Russia. The tasks of developing didactic materials are considered, with the help of which methods they are developed and manufactured, and, finally, what is the structure of their application in the lecture. The variants of the formulation of the educational purpose of the lecture, the form of presentation of the content of educational information, as well as the purpose of using didactic materials in it are shown.
